Spotlight Performing Arts Academy's Summer Workshop is a four-week intensive workshop featuring classes in acting, musical theatre, and dance for students entering 2nd grade through the first year of college. The workshop will be divided into three groups based on grade level: Group A (Grades 10 and up), Group B (Grades 6-9), and Group C (Grades 2-5).
With a curriculum including jazz, drama, group voice, and musical theater, students are introduced to different facets of theater while they hone their skills and work on a full-lengh musical production to be performed at the end of the program. Due to vacation conflicts, students may miss some classes. Students may not miss the last week of class because of show preparation.
Students may enroll in the Theater and Jazz track, comprised of classes in jazz, acting, group voice, and show rehearsal or in the Theater track, featuring acting, group voice, and show rehearsal.
